
The Environment Agency announced today that the European air pollution in Europe cost European citizens more than $ 136 billion.
The  news agency United Press International, the Environment Agency, based  in Copenhagen, said in a new report on the costs of the harm inflicted  by air pollution, health and the environment that the cost of air  pollution in Europe were among 102 and 169 billion euros, ie between 136  and $ 263 billion in 2009, pointing out that half of the cost comes  from 191 facility only.
Said  Jacqueline Makgalayd Executive Director of the Agency that our analysis  revealed that the highest cost resulted from the pollution from power  plants and other large industrial plants have been calculated using the  estimated costs of emissions reported by the facilities.
The  Makgalayd that through the use of the means provided by the policy  makers to estimate the harm done to health and the environment have  uncovered some hidden costs of pollution.
The  report, titled / detection costs of air pollution from industrial  facilities in Europe / the list of facilities that contribute to the  harm and include oil refineries and nuclear power stations and  industrial combustion processes and some agricultural and other  activities related to waste treatment.
The  report showed that Germany, Poland, Britain, France and Italy has the  largest number of large facilities that contribute to the higher  proportion of the pollution.
